·         Affect (verb) แปลว่า ก่อให้เกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลง, กระทบ, ทำให้กระทบจิตใจ, ทำให้เป็นโรค, 

ชอบที่จะ (ใส่, ทำ), แสร้งทำ

ตัวอย่าง Reading has the power to affect people’s imagination.

         Bangkok was affected by major flooding 4 years ago.

·         Effect (noun) แปลว่า ผลกระทบ, ความรู้สึกที่เกิดขึ้น, ความตั้งใจ ถ้าเป็น verb จะแปลว่า ทำให้เกิด 

ตัวอย่าง The good programs on TV have an effect (n.) on increasing audience.

         The new policy has effected (v.) some negative changes in the office.

*แต่เมื่อเติม s เข้าเป็น "effects" ความหมายจะกลายเป็น ของใช้ส่วนตัวหรือของใช้ในบ้านเรือน ตัวอย่างประโยค After her mother passed away, she'd left all her personal effects to her daughter.
